“I realized that when I [thought] of iconic romance, I could only envision straight couples,” says Braden Summers, an NYC-based photographer and artist behind the stunning All Love Is Equal photography series.

Thanks to the generosity of his Kickstarter backers, Summers and his crew set out to help change the way members of the LBGTQ community are portrayed in the media by creating beautiful, inspiring photographs of gay and lesbian couples in love. His project is complete now, and, as you’ll see, the result is a series of artistic photos that capture the love, romance and friendship that exist between LBGTQ couples.
